African Bush Elephant

The African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana) is the largest land mammal on Earth and an essential keystone species in its ecosystem. Known for their intelligence, complex social bonds, and impressive memory, African elephants play a crucial role in shaping their environment by dispersing seeds and creating water access for other wildlife.

Despite their importance, African elephants face severe threats from poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict.
Conservation efforts across the continent aim to protect these gentle giants and ensure their survival for future generations.
